Nem Brito and Bira Santos of Diaspora, (Brasil), Rosangela Silvestre of Silvestre Technique (Brasil, USA), Mestre Fred (London School of Samba, UK) and Clo Mudrik, ZambaBem (NZ) have been invited to join us in 2012. All have been teaching and performing internationally for over 10 years and are considered masters in their fields. Details of their exchange, soon to be advised here. Previous Exchanges
The Samba Exchanges (through Umbela Brasil) have hosted International Artists, Paula de Hollanda, Ana Laidley, Cena Um from Bahia, Anderson Nogueira from Maracatu Nacao Pernambuco and Monobloco's lead repenique player Jose Zagury (aka Zeca Macapa). In return, students have been put up in peoples houses, welcomed as family, and invited to parade during carnival in UK, Brasil and Japan.

The SambaExchange community also sponsors two children in Brazil for their education and living expenses, and contributes to Nacao Pernambuco and Ile Axe Omim J Oba through exchange, donations and community work.
